What Our Guests Say

My girlfriend and I live in Belgrade and love getting away from the city on weekends. Since we enjoy biking in nature, we wanted to find a place to stay near Fruška Gora. On a friend’s recommendation, we booked Villa Ravijojla in Krčedin — and it was the perfect choice. The accommodation was excellent, the garden spacious and beautiful, and the real highlight was the large indoor pool with warm water, where we relaxed every evening before bed. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Villa Ravijojla with my family during the May Day holidays. The garden was stunning, full of greenery and colorful flowers. We had a barbecue outside, listened to great music, and truly had an amazing time. We were very satisfied and will definitely return. It’s a place that soothes both body and soul.

Bookkeeper
Life today moves so fast — especially when working in big companies — that it really becomes necessary to take a break and spend a few days somewhere peaceful. I’ve always loved Vojvodina’s farm estates, and this part of Srem is especially beautiful, with so many lovely places to explore. Villa Ravijojla isn’t your typical salaš — it carries a refined touch. When we met the owner, Mrs. Lisa Brown, we immediately recognized that it’s her English grace and culture that give this magical place its unique charm.

Explore the Charm Around Us

Krčedin is one of the largest villages in the Inđija municipality. Nestled in the fertile plains near the Danube, it’s known for its traditional architecture and high-quality farmland — a legacy of many prosperous agricultural cultures. Today, this charming village offers both a rich history and a wealth of tourist attractions, from scenic riverbanks to vibrant flora and fauna.

Special Nature Reserve – Krčedin Island

Krčedin Island is one of the largest natural river islands on the Danube, covering around 100 hectares. It lies just south of Krčedin and features a diverse ecosystem of wetlands, forests, and grasslands. Often referred to as “Europe’s Amazon,” it is a protected habitat for wild horses and rare bird species — a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Čortanovci Beach

Located 14 km from Krčedin, Čortanovci Beach is one of the most scenic river beaches on the Danube. With its soft sand, shady forest, and inviting waters, it’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or relaxing with family and friends. A café nearby serves local drinks and snacks.

Celtic Village

Just 17 km from Krčedin, in the Inđija area, lies a reconstructed Celtic-themed village. It’s based on archaeological evidence from the ancient Scordisci tribe that once lived in the region. Visitors can explore earth huts, wooden palisades, and tools from that era, while also enjoying live workshops with artisans in traditional dress. Open only on weekends, this educational and interactive site is a favorite for families.

Traditional Farmsteads & Wine Tours

Krčedin and its surroundings are rich in traditional Vojvodinian farmsteads (salaši), where guests can enjoy rural life, authentic local dishes, and homemade wines. Wine tours take visitors through local vineyards, with opportunities for tasting and learning about winemaking from regional producers. It’s a sensory journey into the heart of Vojvodina.

Cycling & Nature Walks

The area around Krčedin is perfect for relaxed outdoor adventures — whether it’s a quiet bike ride through vineyards or a peaceful walk along the Danube’s scenic trails. Guests can enjoy the views, stop for a picnic, or visit local farms and artisan shops along the way. It’s an ideal way to reconnect with nature.

Local Arts & Crafts

Krčedin and the wider region are known for their vibrant community of artists and artisans who work with natural materials and traditional techniques. Visitors can attend workshops in painting, ceramics, woodcarving, and more — or simply browse local galleries and souvenir stands. Many of these artists also exhibit their work at nearby cultural events and fairs.

Orthodox Churches & Monasteries

The area is home to several beautiful Orthodox churches and monasteries, some dating back centuries. Nearby Fruška Gora is especially rich in sacred architecture, including well-known sites like Krušedol, Grgeteg, Hopovo, and Bešenovo. Guests interested in spiritual heritage or historical architecture will find much to explore.

Buddhist Monastery

Just 12 km from Krčedin, in the village of Čortanovci, you’ll find the Oxford Buddha Vihara Serbia — a branch of the Buddhist center from the United Kingdom, following the Theravāda tradition, regarded as the closest to the original teachings of the Buddha. Located on the forested slopes of Fruška Gora, this monastery nurtures a close bond between the monastic community and local residents, built on mutual support through giving and spiritual guidance.

Sremski Karlovci

Only 24 km from Krčedin lies Sremski Karlovci — a charming baroque town on the banks of the Danube. Known for its cultural landmarks, wine cellars, and rich history, the town is home to the famous Karlovci Gymnasium, Patriarchate Court, and the Fountain of Four Lions.
